MOUNTAINEERING AND WALKING

Nestled in a valley surrounded by Welsh mountains, we are situated approximately 23 miles from the Brecon Beacons, 25 miles from the Cambrian Mountains and 40 miles from the Black Mountains, making our wild camping in Builth Wells ideal for walkers or climbers wishing to explore some of the most beautiful walking Mid Wales has to offer. We are also within easy reach of the Offa’s Dyke trail which runs through Knighton, easily accessible by train directly from the station which is opposite Court Farm.

ROYAL WELSH SHOWGROUND

Court Farm is just minutes from the Royal Welsh Showground, making the holiday barns ideal accommodation for the Royal Welsh Show, the Royal Welsh Agricultural Winter Fair or the numerous horse, dog and livestock shows held at the showground. For more information about events at the showground

ELAN VALLEY

The Elan Valley is a stunning array of lakes, damns and countryside in the heart of Powys, complete with a visitor centre that organises fun and educational activities for both children and adults. Nearby Rhayader is also home to the renowned Red Kite Feeding Centre at Gigrin Farm.​

HAY-ON-WYE

Famous for its many bookshops, Hay-on-Wye is a bustling Welsh border market town easily accessible from our Builth Wells holiday accommodation.

LLANDRINDOD WELLS

Each August/September, the quiet Welsh market town of Llandrindod Wells is transported back to the 19th century and Victorian window displays, costume dress and horse and carriages create an authentic atmosphere.
